sorbus E-FAX

A sorbusASP application that enables facsimile messages to be sent and received electronically from user workstations

sorbus E-FAX

sorbus E-FAX may be used to naturally extend the capabilities of sorbus COLLABORATOR or with existing Microsoft Exchange environments. In either case, sorbus E-FAX is fully integrated with Microsoft Exchange and can be used from either the full Microsoft Outlook client or Outlook Web Access. The application can be made available to all Microsoft Exchange users or an authorised sub-set.

sorbus E-FAX has been designed as a fault-tolerant application through the use of fax server load balancing and resource pooling techniques. All e-fax messages can be logged and archived for auditing purposes. An e-fax recipient may be a Microsoft Exchange public folder, thereby enabling a group of users to action a received e-fax. sorbus E-FAX supports a hierarchical billing and reporting facility, enabling e-fax costs to be accurately tracked.

sorbus E-FAX is used transparently via Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Web Access - no additional training is required. Users may include standard or personalised cover pages with their e-fax messages. sorbus E-FAX users may send a message to a co-worker via local e-mail, an external recipient via Internet e-mail, and an external recipient via sorbus E-FAX, all in a single operation.

sorbus E-FAX users receive an informative notification message for each e-fax sent and may view e-fax messages on their workstation. Users may optionally receive e-fax messages as a revisable document (as opposed to a viewable/printable image).

sorbus E-FAX can significantly improve productivity and efficiency across a company. Through centralised usage and cost reporting, sorbus E-FAX can significantly reduce facsimile costs for a company and help simplify telephony management.
